Two New Contestants Join Gulder Ultimate Search as Show Premieres October 16 on DStv & GOTV

After weeks of screening whittled down more than 20,000 applicants to 20 finalists, the Gulder Ultimate Search contestants selection process concluded with the emergence of the last two contestants through fans’ votes. Now comes the hard part, which leads to the emergence of the Ultimate Man/Woman, who will pocket the ₦50 million prize?

With the online voting and selections finally complete, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, Nigerian Breweries Plc announced Osasere Agbonile and Odudu Ime Otu as the new additions to the 16 contestants unveiled at a selection party held in Lagos on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

After the announcement of 16 contestants on Sunday, the fate of four others were left in the hands of fans to decide the two among them who will make it to the jungle to compete for the over ₦50 million prize, which is five times bigger than the prize of the last edition held in 2014.

According to Sade Morgan, Corporate Affairs Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, “the four candidates were part of the 20 finalists who made it through the regional screenings, but only 18 contestants have been chosen to participate in Gulder Ultimate Search 12.”

Organisers said over 12,000 fans voted in the online poll, and Osasere Agbonile, a 32-year-old fitness trainer and model, polled 35.1% to come first. Odudu Ime Otu, the second contestant to make it through with the help of fans votes, is a 22-year-old athlete; he polled 31.5% of votes. Fitness instructor Samson Onoja Abah who polled 22.7%, and Emmanuel Omoikhudu, with 10.6% votes, did not make it.

Sade Morgan said Osasere and Odudu would join the 16 other contestants announced at the selection party held in Lagos on Sunday night.

The 18 contestants will now start their Gulder Ultimate Search 12 journey following the confirmation of the two additional contestants, as the show premieres on DStv and GOTV on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

The show will air twice a week from October 16 to Sunday, December 19, 2021, on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 & GOtv channel 2) on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 pm till 9 pm.
