Tinubu Seeks Nigerians’ Forgiveness as Ramadan, Lent Converge

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to forgive him if he has sinned against them.

Tinubu made the plea Wednesday at the opening of this year’s Tafsir at the State House mosque in Abuja.

He highlighted Ramadan coinciding with Christian Lent as a reminder of shared sacrifice, discipline, prayer, and self-denial.

“We start this Ramadan with all its teachings. The main principle is to do good, share love and faith, and forgive sins. If I have sinned, forgive me as Nigerians,” he said.

The President stressed fasting must embody kindness, forgiveness, good deeds, and love beyond physical abstinence.

Tinubu urged all faiths to pray for peace and back efforts against terrorism, banditry, and insecurity.
