TechnologyMirror, one of Nigeria’s leading technology and ICT news and information website, has won the Best Startups Supportive Online Media of the Year Award at the 18th edition of the Titans of Tech Awards.
TechnologyMirror emerged winner at the award ceremony attended by the former Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission and Chairman of MTN Nigeria, Engr Ernest Ndukwe and the President of the Association Licensed Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), Engr Ikechukwu Nnamani after evaluation by the Business Intelligence Unit of TechTV organisers of the Titans of Tech Awards.
According to the organisers, TechnologyMirror was nominated for the award due to its relentless support of media exposure given through its reporting of startups activities in Nigeria and across Africa.
The award, which was receive by the Country Editor of TechnologyMirror, Isaiah Erhiawarien from the PRO of the Ghana-ECOWAS Business Community in Lagos, Mr Kweku Mckinze was applauded upon announcing the winner.
Responding to the award, the Chairman of TechnologyMirror, a United Kingdom based businessman and politician, Mr Julius Ariko, thanked the organisers for recognising the efforts of TechnologyMirror in supporting the startups industry in Nigeria through its reportage.
The Country Editor revealed that its online publication has a dedicated category for the startups industry across Africa saying that that was because of the impact of startups in growing the African economy.
