Survivor Greece Star Sues Show Producers for Over $100m After Losing Leg in Filming Accident

“Survivor Greece” star Stavros Floros has sued producers of the reality television show, seeking more than $100 million in damages after an accident during filming led to the amputation of his left leg above the knee.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Floros was filming the Greek version of the popular reality series on May 11, 2026, when he was struck by the propeller of a tour boat while spearfishing for food.

Floros alleged in the lawsuit that contestants were required to spearfish in open water, despite the filming location being heavily trafficked by tourist boats.

He accused the show’s producers of failing to put adequate safety measures in place, including safety boats, protected swimming or diving zones and sufficient warning markers for vessels operating in the area.

Floros further alleged that there had been previous close calls, as well as a death, in the same waters before the accident.

According to the lawsuit, the impact severed Floros’ left leg above the knee, with the limb lost in the ocean following the incident.

Floros said a “tourniquet applied by a stranger aboard the offending tourist boat kept him alive.”

He was later transported to a hospital in Miami, where he underwent multiple surgeries and spent 61 days receiving treatment.

Floros is seeking more than $100 million in damages from the producers over the accident and the injuries he sustained.
