Veteran actor and film executive, Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, popularly known as Olu Jacobs, has passed away at the age of 84.
His son, Olusoji Jacobs, announced his passing in a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Born 11 July 1942, the veteran actor began his career starring in several British television series and international films. Trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, England, Olu Jacobs worked with various repertoire theatres in Britain and starred in some international movie
He is survived by his wife, veteran actress Joke Silva, their sons and a granddaughter.
