    Nollywood Stars, Family Gather In Ilaro For Late Actor Ogogo’s Eighth-Day Fidau

    Nollywood stars, family members and friends of late veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, on Monday gathered at the Stadium in Ilaro, Ogun State, for his eighth-day Fidau prayer.

    Videos shared on Instagram by #EmiraltyAfrica showed several guests arriving at the venue for the Islamic prayer ceremony.

    Among the Nollywood personalities in attendance were veteran actors Yinka Quadri and Jide Kosoko, as well as actress Faithia Balogun and other members of the Nigerian film industry.

    The late actor’s daughters, Kira and Lima Taiwo, were also present at the ceremony.

    The family had earlier announced the eighth-day Fidau through actor Jide Kosoko, who shared details of the prayer on his Instagram page.

    Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66. He was buried in Ilaro, his hometown, on August 24, in accordance with Islamic rites, a day after his death was announced.

    The Fidau prayer brought together relatives, colleagues and friends who gathered to honour the late actor and pray for the repose of his soul.
