    Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe @ 57, Her Word is Her Bond

    Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, managing director/CEO, Fidelity Bank Plc, is an exceptional woman who has been able to harness her dexterity and God given mental acuity to become one of the most influential female leaders in the banking industry.

    Like every exceptional being, she explored, challenged, trained and developed herself into a world class icon.

    She expanded her responsibilities on January 1, 2021 to become the first female managing director/CEO, Fidelity Bank.

    Her current plans include; leveraging Fidelity Bank’s rapidly expanding digital banking to drive growth and leapfrog into a Tier 1 bank over the next four years.

    She is armed with the requisite skills and experience for the task.

    Onyeali-Ikpe is a consummate professional of over 30 years’ experience across various banks including Standard Chartered Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc and Citizens International Bank Limited, where she held several management positions in Legal, Treasury, Investment Banking, Retail/Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking.

    Not be distracted by her beauty, she is naturally smart with Ivy League education and is certain to flourish in every endeavour and sector of the Nigerian economy.

    As an executive director, Lagos and South West, Fidelity Bank, Onyeali-Ikpe was overseeing the bank’s business in the six states that make up the South West region of the bank.

    She led the transformation of the Directorate to profitability and sustained its impressive year-on-year growth, across key performance metrics, including contributing over 28% of the Bank’s PBT, Deposits and Loans..

    She has also been involved in the structuring of transactions in various sectors including oil & gas, manufacturing, aviation, real estate and exports.

    As an executive director at Enterprise Bank Plc, she received formal commendation from the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) as a member of the management team that successfully turned around Enterprise Bank Plc.

    Born July 28, 1964, Onyeali-Ikpe holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Kings College, London, respectively.

    She has attended executive training programs at Harvard Business School, The Wharton School University of Pennsylvania, INSEAD School of Business, Chicago Booth School of Business, London Business School and IMD amongst others.

    She is also an Honorary Senior Member (HCIB) of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

    Onyeali-Ikpe is a role model and perfect paragon, transforming one generation at a time.

    Focused, driven, talented, and she is someone who keeps on pushing herself harder and her colleagues are better for it.

    She is a mother, a wife, and a humanitarian, something admirable and inspirational.

    Onyeali-Ikpe is married to Dr Ken Onyeali-Ikpe, who holds a PhD in Development Economics from the Academy of Sciences, School of African Studies, Moscow, Russia and is a thought leader on leadership, branding, marketing communications, public relations, and perception engineering.

    And they are blessed with children.
