    NIS 2025 Unites Innovators, Investors, and Policymakers for Africa’s Future

    The 10th Nigeria Innovation Summit, which was held on October 7-8, 2025 with the theme “Sustainable Innovation”, was successfully concluded with the participation of delegates and stakeholders across the globe, who took part in the hybrid event.

    The Summit is an annual event that brings together stakeholders from different sectors of Nigeria’s economy, and players in the tech and innovation ecosystem to discuss ground-breaking ideas, trends, and opportunities to innovate solutions that solve unique challenges within Nigeria and the African continent at large.

    This year’s NIS explored topics such as Driving Data-Driven Healthcare for a Sustainable Future; Driving Sustainable Innovation Through Digital Technologies & Disruptions; Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Transformation; Unlocking Wealth through Intellectual Property: Creation, Protection & Monetization; Innovations in Communications, Strategy, & Brand Positioning; Innovative Financing and Regulations in a Digital Era; Chambers of Commerce as Engines of Innovation and Inclusive Enterprise Development; EdTech for Inclusion: Bridging Educational Gaps and Driving Social Equity in Africa; Reinventing Trust: Innovation and the Future of Credit Reporting in Nigeria, and more.

    A key highlight of the Summit were the Nigeria Innovations Experience Talks (NiX Talks), which was powered by African Innovation Academy. The NiX Talks focused on “Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Transformation & Building Sustainable Solutions for Impact”. Other Summit features were fireside chats, panel discussions/interactive sessions, Quick Pitch (Pitch-a-Thon), innovation showcases and exhibitions, and expert insights on emerging technologies and their applications in solving local problems. The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was the Special Guest of Honour. He was represented by the Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Olatunbosun Alake.

    The crowning of the Nigerian Innovation Summit (NIS) X was the 2025 Nigeria Innovation Awards. The Nigeria Innovation Awards recognises and awards key innovators at the forefront of the Nigerian Innovation landscape, as well as disruptors bringing positive and empirical impacts and progressive solutions to unique challenges in our society.

    The 2025 Nigeria Innovation Awards awardees include TotalEnergies for Championing Sustainable Energy Solutions In Nigeria; eHealth Africa for Advancing Healthcare Access Through Technology; Rise Networks for Driving Social Change & Youth Inclusion Through Technology; DigiLearns for Transforming Education Access For Sustainable Impact; Lumos Laboratories for Waste-To-Energy Technology Leader of The Year; Louer Global Limited (Louer Group) got the award as the Best E-Government Service Company. For individual category, Kevinblak (Governor Amuneke) won the award as the Most Innovative Content Creator of the Year. While Ugochukwu Okoli was the Outstanding Cyber Intelligence Professional of the Year

    The 10th Nigeria Innovation Summit had in participation delegates from government agencies, diplomats, academic communities and research institutes, international organisations, investors, entrepreneurs, business/thought leaders, innovators, startups, and students.

    The 2025 NIS concluded with an Innovation Tour to MTN Cloud & Data Center, where some delegates deepen the conversation and relationship with those bringing true innovation and disruption into the Nigerian innovation ecosystem.
