A statement by Ministry spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa said the discussions build on prior engagements in Davos, underscoring shared commitment to collaboration in innovation, governance, and democratic resilience.
Talks centred on three priorities.
First, both sides explored deepening long-term ties beyond infrastructure, focusing on sustainable digital transformation aligned with Nigeria’s development goals.
Second, they emphasised institutionalising Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills development and knowledge transfer, including support for the Ministry’s AI Unit to boost capacity for policy formulation and service delivery.
Third, the meeting addressed anticipatory diplomacy tools to enhance information integrity and democratic resilience under the Regional Partnership for Democracy framework, aiming to counter misinformation, fortify governance, and promote regional stability.
Technical teams will continue engagements to outline implementable outcomes at the nexus of AI, governance, and stability, paving the way for a robust Nigeria-Google alliance.
