    New Horizons Commissions Ultra-modern ICT Centre @Adeleke University to Advance Digital Innovation

    New Horizons Systems Solutions Limited, on Tuesday commissioned a fully equipped ICT facility at Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State.

    The brand-new Elder (Dr.) I.C. Egbuta ICT Centre, constructed and donated by New Horizons Nigeria, is designed to sharpen the digital skills of students and prepare them for global competitiveness in the fast-evolving technology sector.

    The commissioning ceremony, which took place on March 3, 2026, attracted top dignitaries from the university, industry leaders and academia, starting with colourful cultural dances by the institution’s Theatre Arts Department.

    The expansive ICT centre features four high-tech studios fitted with cutting-edge computer systems, full air-conditioning and capacity to accommodate over 750 users at once.

    It is equipped for advanced training in critical areas such as Cyber Security, Web Development, Artificial Intelligence, Full Stack Development, Graphics Design, as well as CompTIA professional certifications in Hardware, Network+ and Security+.

    Additional modern amenities have been incorporated to support seamless digital learning and certification examinations.

    The project marks another high point in the over 10-year collaboration between New Horizons Nigeria and Adeleke University, which has delivered thousands of project-based and certification-driven ICT programmes.

    Through this partnership, the university has produced graduates with internationally recognised digital skills across various technology fields.

    Chief (Mrs) Modupe Adeleke Sanni, representing the Chairman of the University Council, Chief Adedeji Adeleke, officially commissioned the facility.

    In her address, Mrs Sanni lauded New Horizons Nigeria for its consistent investments in the university and pledged the council’s resolve to deepen the partnership going forward.

    Vice-Chancellor of Adeleke University, Prof. Solomon A. Adebola, described the donation as a major boost to the institution’s technological growth and youth empowerment.

    Prof. Adebola praised New Horizons for its steadfast support in providing hands-on digital training to students.

    Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of New Horizons Nigeria, Mr Tim Akano, expressed gratitude to the university’s management and council for their enduring support.

    Mr Akano restated the company’s mission to furnish Nigerian universities with world-class facilities and training for effective competition in the global tech space.

    The New Horizons boss highlighted the organisation’s dedication to spurring innovation in Nigerian higher institutions, aiming to produce research-backed tech solutions worthy of patents and worldwide acclaim.

    New Horizons Nigeria, acknowledged as Africa’s foremost ICT training provider, clinched the Best ICT Training Company award from CompTIA in South Africa last year.

    As a franchise of New Horizons International, which spans over 90 countries on six continents, the firm adheres to international standards while tackling local skill shortages.

    It currently delivers ICT training to more than 30 universities, close to 200 secondary schools, alongside corporate bodies, government agencies and retail outlets nationwide.

    The organisation imparts training to over 100,000 students annually across 27 universities, 150 secondary schools, corporate clients and government establishments.

    In its 20-year history, New Horizons Nigeria has bagged about 350 national and international awards.

    Its alumni are highly prized by employers, with certifications accepted in all 90 countries hosting New Horizons offices.

    The event wrapped up with a lively performance by the university’s Theatre Arts troupe, earning loud cheers from guests.

    The ICT centre’s launch is poised to intensify production of top-tier ICT experts and innovators to fuel Nigeria’s expanding digital economy.
