    MTN Nigeria Celebrates Culture and Tradition at the 2025 Lisabi Festival

    MTN Nigeria’s involvement in the 2025 Lisabi Festival highlights its dedication to celebrating Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

    The festival, held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, honored Lisabi, the legendary warrior of Egba land, through a week-long series of cultural events.

    MTN Nigeria sponsored the 38th edition, showcasing its commitment to community engagement and cultural preservation.

    The festival’s highlight was the vibrant Egbaliganza procession on April 5, featuring colorful parades, traditional displays, and performances that celebrated the unity and strength of the Egba people.

    MTN Nigeria’s Chief Marketing Officer, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, emphasized the importance of connecting people through shared cultural experiences.

    Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, expressed gratitude to sponsors like MTN Nigeria for their role in preserving cultural traditions.

    Esteemed dignitaries, including Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the Honourable Minister of Communications, Dr. Bosun Tijani, attended the event.

    MTN Nigeria’s sponsorship reinforces its role as a brand that values culture and contributes to the development of local traditions.

    The Lisabi Festival remains a symbol of resilience and pride for the Egba people.
