MTN Lights Up UNILAG Student Festival, Showcases Youth-Centric Innovation and Culture

University of Lagos (UNILAG) Sports Complex recently came alive with a vibrant student festival, transformed into a dynamic celebration of music, games, and youth culture, with MTN Nigeria taking centre stage.

The event, anchored by renowned hypeman Big Bimi, drew thousands of students who immersed themselves in an atmosphere brimming with excitement, creativity, and camaraderie.

From the outset, MTN’s interactive booth became a major attraction. The lively, colourful stand offered students a variety of engaging activities, including games, dance video sessions at the popular Wow Booth, and custom MTN hand fans to keep cool.

MTN also gave out branded headsets, and power banks. More than just distributing freebies, MTN provided a platform for students to connect, create content, and express themselves in real time.

MTN’s longstanding support for youth initiatives was evident throughout the festival. The brand’s presence underscored its dedication to nurturing emerging talent, promoting digital culture, and fostering community engagement.

Through music, technology, and content creation, MTN continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Nigerian youth.

The festival itself was a showcase of high-energy performances. Rising stars like Shoday and Fola thrilled the audience, while DJs Titanium, Therapy, Tohbahd, Maze X Mxtreme, Bigwswagz, and percussionist Emmadrum kept the energy levels soaring with non-stop music.

Skit makers Trench Boy and Olu Chaze, along with electrifying dance acts, added to the excitement. Hypeman TobyShang further elevated the atmosphere with his dynamic stage presence.

MTN’s involvement went beyond visibility, it was deeply felt. By fostering engagement and digital creativity, the brand helped create a festival that resonated with the next generation. For UNILAG students, the event may have ended, but the energy and inspiration will linger long after the music fades.
