MTN 2023 Y’ello Care to Empower Entrepreneurs, Unlock Growth & Job Creation for Communities

    MTN

MTN Nigeria kicked off its annual employee volunteerism initiative – 21 Days of Y’ello Care – on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Launched in 2007, Y’ello Care seeks to inspire MTN employees, encouraging them to actively contribute their resources (time, financial, and skill set) to community development.

The theme for this year is “Empowering Entrepreneurs to Unlock Growth and Job Creation for Communities.” Employees will focus on leveraging skills, digital and financial tools to unlock growth for grassroots entrepreneurs, specifically youth, women and people living with disabilities.

Speaking about the 2023 Y’ello Care, Chief Corporate Services Officer, MTN Nigeria, Tobechukwu Okigbo said “Every year, we strive to ensure that through Y’ello Care we positively impact communities around us. This year we have chosen to empower SMEs as an impactful sector of our growing economy.

“As the world continues to become a global digital village, we want to equip Nigerian entrepreneurs with the technology to grow and stay relevant nationally and internationally.”

The 21 Days of Y’ello Care will include webinars for eligible SME owners to improve their financial literacy, digital skills and use of social media for business as well as one-on-one engagements with SMEs across the country.

In addition, it will host an exhibition and trade fair for them to showcase and sell their products to MTN employees and partners at MTN Nigeria’s head office in Ikoyi, Lagos.

MTN Nigeria remains committed to creating value through initiatives that seek to provide sustainable growth and job creation in the communities they serve.
