    Mercy Chinwo Threatens Lawsuit Against Popular Nigerian Singer

    Popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, has threatened legal action against Nigerian singer, Obidiz Lawson, over the derogatory and defamatory use of her name.

    According to Naija News reports, Obidiz released an album last month with one of the single tracks titled ‘Mercy Chinwo’.

    In a notice to the singer, Mercy frowned over the usage of her name in a disparaging and derogatory manner.

    She warned Obidiz to take down the song on all streaming platforms as well as promotional videos on all social media platforms.

    The gospel singer also demanded that Obidiz tenders a public apology, expressing remorse over the use of her name in a derogatory manner.

    She added that failure to meet the conditions will attract a lawsuit against him and would pay damage in the sum of two billion Naira.

    Mercy Chinwo ‘Severes Ties’ With Minister GUC

    Meanwhile, Mercy Chinwo, has severed ties with her colleague and friend, Gift Ugochi Christopher, popularly known as Minister GUC.

    Naija News reports that this is coming amidst reports that the duo are enmeshed in a faceoff over an undisclosed issue.
