LG Poll: Lagos Restricts Travel on Saturday

The Lagos state government announced a restriction on movement across the state between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, ahead of local elections.

Information and Strategy Commissioner Gbenga Omotoso made the announcement in a statement Thursday in Lagos.

Omotoso said the restriction was aimed at allowing the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) to conduct smooth elections for presidents and councilors in the 20 local government areas and 37 council development areas. state premises.

He said the restriction would facilitate the movement of voters, election materials and LASIEC officials for the sanctity of the election.

According to him, the restriction will facilitate effective control and enhanced security during the election.

“All eligible voters are invited to participate in the election, which requires the cooperation of all residents,” he said. (NAN)
