    Igbinedion University Appoints Stanel Group’s CEO Governing Council Member

    Igbinedion University Okada has appointed Mr. Stanley Uzochukwu, Managing Director of the Stanel Group as a member of the institution’s board.

    In an appointment letter to Mr. Uzochukwu and made available to our correspondent in Abuja on Friday, the CEO of the Stanel Group is expected to serve on the board for three years.

    The letter signed by the Chancellor and Chairman of the Board, Dr Gabriel Igbinedion, said that Uzochukwu was appointed in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of human capacities.

    The letter reads in part: “In accordance with the law establishing Igbinedion University, Okada, I am pleased to appoint you as a member of the Board of Trustees of Igbinedion University, Okada.

    “The appointment is for a period of three years from June 24, 2021.

    “This appointment is a recognition of your exceptional qualities and your exceptional contribution to the development and management of human capacities.

    “I have no doubt that, given your rich experience, the University will reach new heights with you as a member of our Board of Trustees. “

    The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that Uzochukwu has also already been recognized on several occasions for his contribution to the development of human capacities.

    Mr. Uzochuku is the mastermind behind the youth empowerment program in the South East labeled “Access More With Stanel,” a program that is believed to have reached as many as 20,000 young people.

    He is currently the youngest member of the board of directors of Golden Tulip West Africa Limited, among others.

    He is the recipient of the African Achievers Award 2007, organized by the British Labor Party in the United Kingdom. (NAN)
