Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has renewed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing the provision of quality health care to residents of the state.
The governor said this at the end of a one-day Kano 2021 primary health summit, held on Tuesday to implement the Minimum Service Package (MSP) policy document.
The theme of the Summit was: “Strengthening primary health care to achieve universal health coverage through full implementation of the minimum service package”.
Ganduje said his administration has focused on improving primary health care services to improve efficient service delivery since taking office.
“This administration had employed 44 qualified doctors, and one doctor each was assigned to each of the primary health care centers in each local government area of the state, with the aim of providing the necessary health care at the facilities for citizens, ”he said. noted.
The governor, however, called on wealthy individuals and philanthropists to support the government’s efforts by donating the necessary drugs and equipment to various primary health care facilities.
He also congratulated all stakeholders who have donated and committed to providing quality health services in the state.
He assured them that his administration would use donations wisely to provide quality health services at the local level. (NAN)
