    Fuel scarcity: We have Sufficient Products for Disbursement – NNPC Assures Nigerians

    The Nigeria National Petroleum Company limited NNPC has assured Nigerians of fuel sufficiency with over 2 billion available.

    At a press briefing in Abuja, the company says it has enough supplies for thirty days.

    The corporation attributed the lingering fuel scarcity to ongoing road infrastructure projects around Apapa in Lagos state as well as the unavailability of access roads around some of the pretroleum depots.

    The NNPC says it will now increase its supplies in the various depots and will be working 24 hours to achieve this.

    The Executive Vice President, Downstream, NNPC, Adetunji Adeyemi, who spoke to newsmen, said;

    ”Abuja is impacted by the challenges recorded in Lagos. NNPC retail and other key marketers have intensified dedicated loading into Abuja to restore normalcy as soon as possible.

    We want to reassure all Nigerians that NNPC has sufficient products and we have significantly increased product loading including 24 hours operation in selected depots.

    In addition, we have caused extented hours at some stations to ensure product sufficiency nationwide and at all times.” Adeyemi said
