    Fidelity Bank Plants Trees, Cleans Elegushi Beach in Green Drive

    Fidelity Bank Plc has partnered with Greenfingers Wildlife Initiative to plant trees and conduct a beach clean-up at Elegushi Beach, Lekki, as part of its environmental sustainability drive under the Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP).

    The initiative, funded and led by the bank’s newly inducted Vault Class employees with matching financial support from Fidelity, underscores the lender’s commitment to preserving marine habitats and combating climate change. Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Dr Meksley Nwagboh, stated that environmental protection forms a core CSR pillar for the bank, with tree planting integral to its climate action plan.

    “We believe protecting the earth is a shared responsibility. This is not a one-time activity but part of our ongoing efforts to promote sustainable best practices,” Nwagboh said, noting Fidelity’s continued partnership with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation.

    The team removed waste from the shoreline and surrounding areas during the exercise. Greenfingers Founder, Mr Chinedu Mogbo, praised the collaboration for advancing safer environments for humans and wildlife while beautifying surroundings.
