    CMO St. Jude’s Parish, Mafoluku–Oshodi Elects New Executive Council

    Catholic Men Organization (CMO) of St. Jude’s Parish, Mafoluku–Oshodi, Lagos, has announced the emergence of a new leadership following a peaceful, transparent, and prayerful elective process held on February 15, 2026.

    At the conclusion of the exercise, Ogbuefi Chinenyeze Remmy Nweke was elected Parish Chairman, succeeding Chief Sir Virginus Ikwuka, whose tenure was marked by dedicated service, unity, and organizational stability.

    The election proceedings were spiritually anchored in a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Sylvanus Onwuatuegwu, followed by the opening prayer and formal commencement of the electoral process by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Patrick Okoye.

    The transition process was efficiently supervised by the Returning Officers, Otunba Aloy Olafusi and Mr. Chris Uruakpa, ensuring credibility, transparency, and orderliness throughout the exercise.

    The newly elected Executive Council includes Mr. Ben Ibe as Vice Chairman, Mr. Austin Okereke as Secretary, Mr. Ralph Ibezim as Assistant Financial Secretary, Chief Chibuike Chukwudeme as Treasurer, Sir Mike Oguezuonu as Public Relations Officer, Mr. Marcel Awuenyi as Faith Formation Officer, and Mr. Jude-Mary Nwachukwu as Welfare Officer. In addition, Chief Joseph Okeiyi, Mrs. Uchenna Ezenwusi, and Mr. Kingsley Onwudinma will represent the organization at the Parish Laity Council.

    In his inaugural address, the newly elected Chairman expressed profound gratitude for the trust reposed in him and outlined his administration’s vision for the organization.

    “I accept this responsibility with humility and a strong commitment to service. Our mission is to build a CMO where no man is left behind. My administration will be guided by the pillars of Faith, Fraternity, and Family.

    “We will prioritize the welfare of our members, strengthen our identity through improved branding and uniforms, and leverage modern tools, including mobile technology, to enhance communication and ensure every member remains informed and engaged.

    Together, we will build upon the solid foundation laid by Chief Sir Virginus Ikwuka and advance the growth, unity, and impact of CMO St. Jude’s Parish.”

    The Catholic Men Organization reaffirmed its commitment to promoting spiritual growth, strengthening brotherhood, and supporting the mission and development of St. Jude’s Parish and the wider Catholic community.
