CFA Hails Tinubu and Soludo on Second Niger Bridge Access Road, Advocates for Smart Infrastructure

Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), Managing Director/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing infrastructure development, as seen in the flag-off of the construction of the access road to the Second Niger Bridge, linking Delta and Anambra States.

The 35-kilometre road project was officially flagged off yesterday, by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, who represented the President.

Speaking on the significance of the project, CFA emphasized that beyond enhancing connectivity, the access road aligns with Governor Soludo’s broader vision of improving road efficiency and integrating smart technology into infrastructure.

“The construction of this critical access road will not only facilitate seamless movement between Anambra and Delta but also consolidate ongoing efforts by Governor Soludo to build a digitally driven economy where technology enhances governance and public service delivery,” he noted.

CFA further highlighted the need to incorporate smart infrastructure solutions into major road projects, ensuring that they align with modern urban planning and technological advancements.

“With digital integration, we can deploy traffic management systems, smart surveillance, and other ICT-driven solutions to optimize road usage and safety.

This is in line with the Anambra State Government’s push for a tech-enabled future,” he added.

Governor Soludo, in his remarks, acknowledged the project as a major step in boosting commerce, trade, and ease of movement, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to leveraging technology for sustainable infrastructure development.

The completion of the access road is expected to ease congestion, enhance economic activities, and further solidify Anambra’s position as a forward-thinking, tech-enabled state.
