Buhari Congratulates Amaechi on Daura chietaincy Title

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, for the award of the title of “Dan Amana” (trusted one) by the Daura Emirate Council.

The president’s congratulatory message is contained in a statement issued by one of his press assistants, Garba Shehu, on Friday in Abuja.

He described awarding the title to Amaechi as a clear commitment to the harmonious relationship between the diverse cultures of the nation.

He commended the Minister “for working with enormous energy to bring about the CHANGE we promised Nigerians”, noting that “the change we are witnessing in the transport sector is an extraordinary legacy”.

He also congratulated an All Progressives Congress (APC) chief and two-time director general of his election campaigns, Nasiru Danu, on being awarded the chieftainship title by the Daura Emirate Council.

Danu is being embarrassed as Daura’s Tafida Babba on Saturday.

The statement said the president had appointed a delegation of three, made up of Ministers of Water Resources Sulaiman Adamu, Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika and Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) Garba Shehu to represent him at the event.
