Anambra Guber: Dr Amobi Nwokafor, APC Aspirant Pledges to End Poverty and Unemployment

Dr Amobi Nwokafor, aspiring governor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra, says his main goal if elected governor will be the eradication of poverty in the state.

Nwokafor, who is an accountant and industrialist, made the pledge Wednesday by speaking with reporters in Abuja.

The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) reports that the CPA primary elections will be held in June, while the elections for governor of Anambra will take place on November 6.

The aspirant, who said most leaders do not prepare for leadership to ensure good governance, said he prepared with a vision to lead Anambra.

“I offer to govern Anambra State with a focus on eradicating poverty and unemployment because I have prepared myself to do so.

“I decided to volunteer to serve because of the gap between the good and the bad of the Nigerian states and people.

“To do well in the sense that if you are a good leader, you will be able to provide what society needs to grow and for humanity to be happy,” he said.

Nwokafor said Anambra has had an infrastructure deficit since the state was established 30 years ago.

“Our people are looking for someone to fill the infrastructure gap in the state,” he said.

According to him, it is necessary to replace the government house in Anambra and the governor’s lodge with new buildings.

“The territory of the capital of Anambra is not defined today, there is pressure on the state capital, Akwa. There should be an extension of the place to accommodate everyone.

“In Anambra, we have a well-defined development partner. For example, Onitsha, as a city, represents the commercial center of Anambra. It needs to be developed further.

“Nnewi, always by nature and by design, is an industrial pole, a leader who has this vision should go further to develop this environment and provide all the infrastructure necessary for industrialization,” he said.

Nwokafor also noted that the north side of Anambra, which is the state’s agricultural base, needed a leader who has all it takes to develop agriculture to the highest level and has made Anambra sufficient. for food production.

“So I’m prepared by the training and the God-given abilities to harness all of this and put it into operation and make Anambra a viable state,” he said.
