    Airtel Leads as the Fastest Network in Nigeria- Ookla Report

    Airtel Networks has been described as the leading network provider with the fastest internet speed in Nigeria following the Speed test intelligence result gathered in Ookla’s 2021 Q3 report.

    According to the report, Airtel surpassed other telecom competitors for the very best consistency rating on cell throughout Q3 2021 at 89.4%, which is a seven percent increase from Q2 when Airtel had a consistency score of 82.5 percent, while broadband supplier, ipNX had the most effective Pace Rating (21.66) and Consistency Rating (40.2%) in Nigeria throughout Q3 2021.

    In Nigeria, Ookla reports that Airtel had the quickest pace rating at 33.43 and also identified Kano as the location with the fastest network reception for downloads and uploads throughout Q3 2021.

    Ookla is the owner and operator of Speedtest.net, a web service that analyses Internet performance. For the third quarter of 2021, the company provided updated analyses for 43 markets, including details of the fastest mobile and fixed broadband providers, the performance of the most popular devices and chipsets, and internet speeds in cities.

    Recall that Airtel was also named the fastest network provider by Crowdsourcing firm, SpeedChecker in its 2021 report for Africa’s Mobile Network Champions, with an average country mobile download speed of 11.55Mbit/s.
