    FAAN Begins Installation of Check-in And Screening Equipment, Appeals for Understanding

    The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced to airlines, passengers and other stakeholders that the equipment required for addressing some recent challenges at two airports in the country have arrived in Nigeria and are already being installed.

    The installation is aimed at addressing recent challenges in airport operations and facilitation management systems at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja respectively.

    Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager, Corporate Affairs at FAAN said in a statement on Monday that additional 15 security screening machines have been procured for immediate deployment to the General Aviation Terminal and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

    She stated that the security screening machines are also being installed already.

    “The Authority is using this opportunity to appeal to all stakeholders to please bear with us while the installation would last, as all hands are on deck to ensure speedy completion of the project,” Yakubu said in the statement.
