Dangote Cement Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public of a recent share acquisition by one of its insiders.
The disclosure was made in compliance with the NGX post-listing rules governing share transactions by directors and other insiders of listed companies.
According to a statement filed with the NGX and titled “Notification of Share Dealing by Insiders,” the company’s Head of Treasury, Omode Emmanuel Oladimeji, acquired 986 ordinary shares of Dangote Cement valued at N996,491.01.
The disclosure, signed by the Company Secretary, Edward Imoedemhe, stated that the transaction took place on May 4, 2026.
The purchase was reported as an initial notification of insider dealing in accordance with Rule 111 of the NGX Rules Governing Director and Insider Dealings.
The filing showed that the shares were acquired in two tranches.
Oladimeji purchased 263 shares at N1,008.15 per share in the first transaction and 723 shares at N1,013.13 per share in the second.
In total, he acquired 986 ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of N1,010.64 per share, bringing the value of the transaction to N996,491.01.
The disclosure is part of the mandatory reporting requirements for transactions involving insiders of companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange.
Such filings are intended to promote transparency and enable investors to monitor share dealings by directors, executives and other key insiders of publicly traded companies.
