Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Daniel Olatunji, popularly known as Danboskid, has opened up about his current struggles, revealing that he has returned to his family home and is working to rebuild his life.
In a video shared on Wednesday, the reality TV star disclosed that he is currently staying with his family and sleeping in his sister’s room as he works on getting back on his feet.
Danboskid said he has several plans for rebuilding his career and finances, including producing a movie, launching an accessories brand and driving for Uber.
He also revealed that his family was experiencing difficulties but stressed that he was not seeking sympathy.
“I don’t really know what to say, but I know I have so many things in mind. And I know I don’t know what’s going on with me.
“But I know I have to change what’s going on. I know I have to stop being intentional. I know I have to start altering my own reality.
“Because I have to make things work regardless,” he said.
Speaking about his family’s situation, Danboskid explained that they were not facing hunger but were dealing with mental and financial challenges.
“As I said, we’re not suffering. My dad is a tenant. So yeah, we’re just suffering mentally,” he said.
The former housemate also disclosed that he had considered selling his laptop to raise money but decided against it because he needed the device to help rebuild his career.
According to him, one of his major ambitions is to become a successful filmmaker and actor.
“I have a script going on. I’m going to produce my movie. I’m going to become a movie producer. And a world-class top actor.
“Yes, that’s it. So that’s the first one. That’s like the bigger picture. But how do we go about it? I honestly do not know,” he said.
Danboskid also revealed plans to establish an accessories business, saying he has an eye for selecting quality accessories and hopes to build the brand through support from his followers.
“I also want to start my accessory brand.
“Oh yeah, I know how to select good accessories.
“So yeah, you all know I’m going to put on my business page to patronise me because that’s how I want to kick-start myself,” he said.
He added that he was considering driving for Uber using vehicles belonging to owners who were no longer interested in using them.
Danboskid said his immediate priorities were to become financially independent, secure his own accommodation, rebuild his career and support his family.
“Get something done for myself. Start doing Uber. Start my accessory brand.
“Get a house for myself. Fix my family, and become a meaningful user. That’s the plan,” he said.
The reality star also reflected on the public image created by his online presence, saying he wanted to move beyond people’s expectations of him and pursue opportunities based on who he truly is.
He said he wanted to show people “who he really is” and make meaningful changes in his life despite his current circumstances.
Danboskid was among the housemates on the 2025 edition of BBNaija and became the first housemate to be evicted from the season.
He was evicted after 12 days in the house, after receiving the lowest percentage of viewers’ votes during the first live eviction show.
The Ekiti State-born entrepreneur, actor and model was listed by the show’s organisers as having been born on April 8, 2000.
Following his eviction, Danboskid attributed his early exit to a name change during his time in the BBNaija house, saying the change made it difficult for fans to identify and vote for him.
