    Mr Aaron Ukodie

The Association of Licensed Telecom Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), iXPN, its Chairman, Mr Gbenga Adebayo, and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mohammed Rudman, have expressed support for the eWorld Forum and the launch of books by veteran journalist and technology writer, Mr Aaron Ukodie.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

ALTON, the umbrella body representing licensed telecommunications operators in Nigeria, has remained a key stakeholder in the development of the country’s telecommunications industry.

The association has, over the years, advocated policies aimed at creating a conducive, predictable and sustainable operating environment for telecommunications operators.

It has also engaged government, regulators and other industry stakeholders on issues affecting the growth and sustainability of the sector.

Under the leadership of Adebayo, ALTON has continued to advocate fair and transparent policies in areas including regulation, taxation, infrastructure deployment, quality of service, spectrum management and right-of-way charges.

These issues remain critical to attracting investment and improving telecommunications services across the country.

Similarly, Rudman and iXPN have contributed to the development of Nigeria’s Internet infrastructure and broader digital ecosystem.

Rudman, a prominent stakeholder in the Internet industry, previously served as President of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA).

The support of ALTON, Adebayo, iXPN and Rudman for the eWorld Forum and Ukodie’s book launch underscores the importance of telecommunications and Internet connectivity to Nigeria’s digital transformation.

The event is expected to provide an opportunity for industry stakeholders, technology professionals, policymakers and media practitioners to reflect on developments in Nigeria’s telecommunications and digital ecosystem over the past 25 years.

The book launch will also celebrate Ukodie’s contribution to technology journalism and reporting on the evolution of Nigeria’s digital economy.
