The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Christian Aburime.

According to the statement, Mr Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as Konti, has been appointed Managing Director of the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA).

Mr Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata was appointed Managing Director of the Anambra State Information and Communication Technology Agency (ASICTA), while Mr Osita Onuko was named Managing Director of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA).

The governor said the appointments are part of ongoing efforts to reposition critical government agencies for improved efficiency, innovation, and service delivery.

He expressed confidence that the newly appointed heads would bring renewed energy, professionalism, and commitment to their respective agencies.

“The new managing directors are expected to bring renewed vigour and commitment into their various agencies,” the statement said.

ARTMA is responsible for traffic management, road safety enforcement, and transport regulation within Anambra, while ASICTA drives the state’s digital transformation agenda and ICT policy implementation.

ACTDA, on the other hand, oversees urban planning, infrastructure development, and environmental management within the Awka Capital Territory.

    The appointments take immediate effect.

Soludo’s administration has continued to emphasise institutional reforms, digital innovation, infrastructure renewal, and urban development as central pillars of its governance agenda in Anambra State.
