Tired of that decade-old embarrassing handle? Change it outright, forward from the old one, and send from both.

The rollout starts soon but phases in over weeks; check eligibility via Google Account > Personal info > Email > Google Account email.

Rumors from January hinted at this, with test docs spotted in regions like India.

Key limits apply: One change per year, no deleting new addresses for 12 months, max four Gmail aliases per account.

Old address lingers as an alias; mail hits the same inbox, login works either way across services.

App settings might reset, calendar invites could show old name—back up data first.
