Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has attributed the state’s receipt of about N30 billion monthly from the Federation Account to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms.
The governor, who spoke while addressing newly elected ward and local government executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other stakeholders in Keffi, stated that the improved revenue profile had enabled him to deliver on campaign promises without resorting to borrowing for capital projects.
Sule revealed that funds for ongoing infrastructure projects were being sourced from two main channels, with the largest share traceable to the economic reforms initiated by President Tinubu, which he said had significantly increased the state’s distributable share of nationally generated revenue.
He used the occasion to provide an update on key projects, including the Keffi flyover, which he projected would be ready for commissioning by September or October 2026.
The governor added that although the Akwanga underpass had been completed technically, his administration would delay commissioning until the Akwanga bypass was also finished, to ensure the entire corridor operated as a seamless transport node.
“All these things that we are doing, we are not borrowing any one Naira from anybody. We are getting these resources from two major sources. The biggest comes from the reforms initiated by President Tinubu that has brought more resources into our hands,” Sule said.
He urged APC members and supporters to remain steadfast, arguing that the visible developmental strides across Nasarawa State underscored the party’s capacity to deliver growth‑oriented governance and provided a strong case for continued loyalty to the APC.
