    Mirabel Retracts Rape Allegation

TikToker Abigail Nsuka, known as Mirabel, admitted on February 18, 2026, during a phone conversation with social critic VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) that her recent rape claim was fabricated.

She confessed the story of being assaulted in her Ogijo, Ogun State apartment and receiving suspect messages was untrue, blaming it on mental health struggles like panic attacks, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and possible codeine hallucinations.

Mirabel revealed regular self-injury, past suicidal ideation, and a toxic lesbian relationship, while admitting she created the alternate social media account for the fake threats; she pleaded for help amid feeling overwhelmed.

The allegation went viral February 15-16, drawing responses from Lagos and Ogun authorities; Ogun Police noted she voluntarily reported on February 18, got medical care for instability, but was never arrested, with a neighbor earlier reporting no distress sounds.

Social media split between support hashtags and fabrication accusations over inconsistencies, as Lagos DSVA had sought info pre-retraction; VeryDarkMan shared the audio to spotlight her crisis over malice.
