The 9th edition of the Tech Innovation Awards (TIA) is set to hold on Nov. 29 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with a focus on recognizing digital excellence across Africa.

Organized by InstinctWave Group in collaboration with Digital Economy Magazine, the annual event will celebrate individuals, organizations, and government entities driving innovation in telecom, artificial intelligence, fintech, and other sectors critical to Africa’s digital transformation.

Akin Naphtal, Chief Executive Officer of InstinctWave, said the awards have become a beacon for Africa’s burgeoning digital economy.

“The Tech Innovation Awards have consistently served as a platform where groundbreaking ideas receive recognition and ignite collaborative ecosystems,” Naphtal said.

He added that the 9th edition would further empower innovators tackling challenges in sustainable technology and digital inclusion, with Nigeria playing a leading role in shaping the continent’s innovation narrative.

The awards feature categories such as Best Bank in Sustainability, Financial Inclusion Bank of the Year, AgriTech Innovation of the Year, and Technology Person of the Year, among others.

The organizers said the selection process would be merit-based, aligning with Africa’s Agenda 2063 and global efforts to promote equitable digital access.

Past editions have catalyzed partnerships, scaled startups, and attracted investments into Africa’s digital infrastructure.

The Group Publisher of Digital Economy Magazine said the event would continue to spotlight visionary leaders dismantling barriers to economic empowerment.

“Through the TIA platform, we have seen how audacious technologies are turning Lagos into a Silicon Savannah that rivals global tech hubs,” he said.

Entries are open to organizations, individuals, and teams operating across Africa. For sponsorship, media partnerships, or submissions, interested parties can contact [email protected] or visit https://tia.digitaleconomymag.com.
