NECLive 2025: Africa’s Creative Leaders to Shape Future of Entertainment in Lagos

Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), West Africa’s largest creative industry gathering, will hold its 2025 edition in Lagos on Friday, Nov. 28, under the theme “Powering Africa Through Creative Enterprise.”

The event will convene entertainment professionals, policymakers, investors, and emerging talent to discuss strategies for sustainable growth and economic transformation in Africa’s booming creative sector.

Since its launch in 2013, NECLive has hosted over 500 keynotes, panels, and workshops, attracted more than 100,000 participants, and facilitated over 1,000 industry deals.

The 2025 edition comes as Nollywood and Afrobeats continue to gain global recognition, with the sector contributing 2.3 per cent to Nigeria’s GDP and generating over $4.2 billion annually.

Despite this progress, the industry faces challenges including infrastructure gaps, funding limitations, piracy, and weak distribution networks. Stakeholders also cite under-implementation of the 2024 National Creative Economy Policy.

Ayeni Adekunle, NECLive Founder and Convener, said the conference aims to promote policy reform, infrastructure development, and business frameworks to support long-term industry growth.

NECLive 2025 is produced by Nigerian Entertainment Today and the Africa Creative Foundation, with support from MultiChoice, MTN Nigeria, First Bank, The Macallan, and X3M Ideas.
