    25 arrested as EFCC uncovers alleged Yahoo Academy in Benin – Ravenewsonline

    Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 25 suspected internet fraudsters in an alleged cybercrime training centre in Benin City, Edo State.

    A statement by the commission on Friday said the suspects were arrested on Thursday, January 16.

    The commission stated that the suspects were arrested at their hideout following a tipoff that indicated the apartment was being used as a Yahoo academy or training school for internet-related fraud and other fraudulent activities.

    Items recovered from the suspects include six exotic cars, laptops and phones.

    “The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”, the statement added.
