2022 World Cup Qualifiers: MTN Executives on Hand to Cheer Super Eagles to Glory

Kicking off its partnership with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), MTN Nigeria Executives led by the Chief Executive Officer, Karl Toriola showed up at the Teslim Balogun Stadium to support the Super Eagles during their World Cup Qualifiers game where they took on Liberia in a thumping two-goal win.

Also seen supporting the Super Eagles were the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele.

Further encouraging Nigerians to support the Super Eagles, MTN Nigeria also gave out free tickets for football fans, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the game in a unique and exciting way.

On September 2, 2021, MTN Nigeria and the Nigeria Football Federation signed a partnership deal, making MTN the official communications sponsor of the Super Eagles and other national teams.

MTN had recently announced a series of activities as part of its milestone anniversary celebration including, participating in the Road Infrastructure Tax Credit Programme (RITC) for an opportunity to reconstruct some road networks in South-Eastern Nigeria, incorporating some of the latest technology, build a world-class campus in Nigeria and sell down, up to 14% of it’s equity to Nigerians.
