Uber launches Store Pickups in Lagos to ease deliveries this festive season – Ravenewsonline

Uber has introduced Store Pickups, a innovative product enabling consumers to conveniently have their parcels or purchased items picked up or delivered.

The product, part of Uber’s Courier service, allows consumers to book a delivery person to collect prepaid items from stores, whether purchased in-store or online.

According to Tope Akinwumi, Uber’s Country Manager for Nigeria, the product aims to make same-day deliveries easier and faster.

“We’re committed to meeting our consumers’ evolving needs. Store Pickups with Courier demonstrates this understanding, providing convenience and allowing consumers to spend more time with loved ones this festive season.”

To use Store Pickups, consumers upload a receipt picture, provide pickup instructions, and select “Courier” on the Uber app. They can then monitor delivery progress in real-time via the app.

Safety features include Live Tracking and PIN Verification, ensuring secure and verified transactions.

Store Pickups is currently available in Lagos, with plans to expand to other key cities soon.
