    Super Falcons drop two places in latest FIFA ranking

    The Super Falcons of Nigeria have dropped two places in the latest FIFA women’s world ranking.

    FIFA released the first women’s ranking for 2024 on its official website on Friday, March 15.

    World champions, Spain retain their lead in the global rankings.

    The Nine-time African champions dropped from 32nd to 34th position but despite the slide in world ranking, the Super Falcons maintained leadership position in Africa.

    Reigning African champions Banyana Banyana of South Africa occupy second position on the continent after moving up one place in the world rankings to 51st.

    Morocco are third on the continent, while occupying 58th position in the world while the Copper Queens of Zambia moved an impressive five spots to position 65.
