Fans and consumers of Star Lager Beer, Nigeria’s foremost beer brand, got an exciting start to 2021 as the beer’s brand ambassador; Burna Boy made special deliveries to them.
The year 2020 represented a challenging period for Nigerians, with the devastating effect of the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting numerous processes.
Concerts and shows were cancelled, huge economic losses were recorded in many businesses, and millions of Nigerians were plunged into isolation for prolonged periods, leading to pandemic fatigue and an increase in cases of anxiety and depression.
With the advent of 2021, Star is offering a message of optimism with a dose of courage to its stakeholders to kick-start the year by focusing on the brighter side of life.
To this effect, the brand curated and made special deliveries to stakeholders, pushing an optimistic outlook or approach to the new year.
Burna Boy – whose strides in recent years has seen him earn global acclaim in the music industry with multiple hits including “Way Too Big” which demonstrated his affiliation with Nigerian Breweries – was at the forefront of the message as he put smiles on faces of celebrity friends, consumers, and other stakeholders with personal and heartfelt handwritten notes contained in the special packages.
Speaking on the special deliveries, Omotunde Adenusi, Portfolio Manager, Mainstream brands, said, “2020 was a peculiar year as it disrupted our ways of life and shaped our behaviours in numerous ways.
“It served as a reminder that we need to celebrate life and experiences more, and that it is important that we focus on the brighter side of life going forward.
“The celebration packs were curated for this purpose – to encourage people to focus on taking significant steps towards happiness this year and having a brighter year ahead.”
Star is a leading beer brand and the first indigenously brewed beer introduced into the Nigerian market on June 2, 1949. Produced by Nigerian Breweries Plc, Star Lager Beer has over the years dominated the beer market and inspired Nigerians to shine on to the brighter side of life.
