Plaqad Emerged Influencer Marketing Agency of The Year @BrandCom Awards

African PR and tech startup Plaqad has been named Influencer Marketing Agency of the Year at the just concluded BrandCom Awards, held in Lagos, on Friday, November 27, 2020.

Gbenga Sogbaike, co-founder & CEO, Plaqad, remarked, “I’m happy the company is being recognised for the good work we’ve been doing for the past three years.

“We’ve been working tirelessly to break the moulds of marketing comms and we’re glad that that is now coming to the fore.”

According to the Convener of Brandcom Awards and Publisher of Brand Communicator, Joshua Ajayi, the selection was based on the exploits and achievements of the agency and the impact made on the industry.

“Despite the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 this year which affected economic activities and businesses, some brands, agencies and individuals were outstanding within their space with their innovative solutions, campaigns, consumer engagements and others,” he said.

Since its inception in 2017, Plaqad has been at the forefront of innovation aimed at advancing the global public relations and marketing industry.

In June 2020, the company launched SocialCred, the continent’s first-ever social media ranking app designed to help social media users rank their influence.

The tool does this by assigning and sum up points across key metrics such as engagement rate, number of followers, audience sentiment, and number of impressions among others to determine an individual’s social media popularity.

With over 15,000 influencers, publishers, and content creators, Plaqad has built a strong community of service providers to cater to the needs of brands and individuals looking to run seamless and effective marketing.
