This week’s Head of House games saw all housemates participate except Ceec and Ilebaye, who received a double strike yesterday following multiple infringements of Big Brother’s rules. Also, as a part of their punishment, Biggie asked that they prepare a meal for the entire house while the head-of-house game was going on.
After four strenuous hours of playing the game of replication individually, Ike won the title. At the start of the HOH contest, Big Brother announced that three housemates who completed the task within the time frame would move to the next round. If no housemate completes the challenge, the three housemates who go the farthest will move to the next round.
Each housemate had five minutes to solve two puzzles. They had to replicate the first puzzle by using the provided cut-out to fill the spaces on the Head Of House puzzle, which was clearly spelt out and then follow the arrows on the floor to get to a peddle stone to retrieve a key to the drawer where they will find the needed pieces to complete the Big Brother eyes tower puzzle. Biggie also noted that their tower must be erect when they reach the finish line for them to complete the first round of the game.
None of the housemates successfully made it to the second puzzle. However, Ike, Venita and Soma did better than others in the game. Big Brother announced Ike as the head of the house, stating that there were no contenders for the second round as he was the only housemate who completed the puzzle.
He received the chance to choose four BFFs who would share his lounge and chose Mercy, Venita, Ceec, and Seyi to be his BFFs for the week.
The HoH announcement led to the black envelope activity, where the housemates had to look for the envelopes hidden around the house after Biggie’s gong signal. Seyi, who found one of the three envelopes, received Head of House gym privileges but no immunity. At the end of the game, no one discovered the other envelopes and Big Brother had to reveal where they hid them. One had immunity while the other had the infamous ‘Better Luck Next Time’.
As usual, the end of the black envelope game signalled the start of the Pardon Me Please game. Big Brother told the housemates not to pardon CeeC or Ilebaye. They are not allowed to state their names and the head of house name. Housemates can only nominate one person. There will only be one winner. If there is no clear winner, Big Brother will declare the game inconclusive as Biggie will not recognise the tie.
Frodd received the most nominations with four nods and secured the only other immunity slot for the week. Alex, Adekunle, and Tolanibaj all received two nods while Mercy, Cross, Venita, Kiddwaya, Neoenergy and Angel got one nomination each. After an almost unanimous vote last week, Soma failed to secure any nominations.
Every other housemate apart from Ike and Frodd is up for possible eviction. Their continuity in the game depends on the viewers’ votes, and voting portals are now open until 9 pm on Thursday. Viewers can vote via the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps, mobile or website. Depending on their subscription, all DStv subscribers are liable to up to 10,000 votes (Prestige subscribers) or as little as 200 votes. GOtv subscribers, on the other hand, get between 200 and 750 votes (GOtv Supa+) based on their subscription.
Until the eviction show on Sunday, viewers can enjoy BBNaija All-Stars on the 24/7 channel – DStv ch. 198 and GOtv ch. 49.
