Ex-Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hawasi st@bbed while fighting off masked raiders

Fawaz Al-Hawasi, Millionaire businessman was left injured after masked intruders forced their way into his Mayfair mansion in what is believed to have been an attempted robbery.

The 57-year-old Kuwaiti businessman was reportedly in bed when the gang broke into his central London home. As he tried to defend himself inside his bedroom, he was allegedly stabbed in the hand and sustained a neck injury along with scratches during the struggle.

It remains unclear whether the burglars managed to escape with valuables, including jewellery or the luxury watches Al-Hawasi often showcases on social media.

His legal representatives have called on the Metropolitan Police to release further details about the suspects, stating that other visitors from the Arabian Gulf are concerned about their safety following the incident.

Police confirmed that his injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing and said investigations are ongoing.

Al-Hawasi’s sister, Khawla Mubarak Al-Hasawi, shared an update on social media, writing: “Fawaz is fine, by God’s grace. May God protect him from all harm and bless him with the safety of his son, Abdulaziz.”

Al-Hasawi previously owned Nottingham Forest, purchasing the club in 2012 before selling it in 2017 to current owner Evangelos Marinakis. His tenure saw significant managerial turnover, with nine managers appointed in five years.

The attack comes amid a series of high-profile burglary incidents. Recently, presenter Maya Jama and Manchester City defender Ruben Dias were targeted while away from their £4 million Cheshire home. Thousands of pounds worth of designer clothing, jewellery and electronics were reportedly stolen. Dias discovered the burglary upon returning from an away match, while Jama was overseas filming.

Elsewhere, Melanie Hamrick, fiancée of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, revealed she was physically attacked during a night out at Annabel’s private members’ club in Mayfair. She later wrote on Instagram: “This is incredibly hard to share, but I was physically attacked at Annabel’s Mayfair tonight. I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me. Two people grabbed me from behind and thank God for good people who stepped in to help me.”

She added: “I’m shaken, sad and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way.” Authorities continue to investigate the separate incidents.
