EFCC Nabs Kannywood Star Samha Inuwa for Wiping Nose with Naira Notes

Operatives tracked and nabbed the suspect on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, following public fury ignited by the clip flooding social media platforms, prompting the anti-graft agency’s lightning response to enforce currency abuse laws.

EFCC Head of Media and Publicity Dele Oyewale confirmed the takedown, stating the commission “swung into action by tracing and subsequently arresting her to answer questions” after the footage sparked widespread outrage online.

Inuwa, a household name in Hausa cinema, now cools her heels in the agency’s Kano detention facility as investigators dig deeper, with prosecutors gearing up to haul her before a judge once the probe wraps.

The dramatic arrest echoes prior high-profile Naira abuse busts, including Bobrisky’s six-month sentence in 2024 and actress Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin’s similar conviction, underscoring EFCC’s unyielding crusade against currency desecration amid Nigeria’s cash crunch.

Kannywood circles buzz with shock as fans and foes weigh in, but the EFCC vows no celebrity immunity—justice remains blind to stardom in the war on Naira wreckers.
