ALAT Galvanises UK & Nigerian Customers with Davido 02 Experience

ALAT by Wema, Nigeria’s first fully digital bank, announced that 10 customers in London will be rewarded with free tickets to watch the artist’s highly anticipated concerts. This was announced via ALAT’s social media pages.

Nigerian superstar, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke revealed on October 25, 2021, that his third concert at the O2 will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Davido’s highly touted concert at the famous O2 Arena, Peninsula Square, London, has already sold out with no available tickets at the time of publication, and it is expected that the feat will be repeated at the singer’s second UK concert at the Victoria Warehouse.

For the 02 concert, Nigerian fans can also stream the show on the country’s first indigenous subscription-based music store, uduX. There will be a surprise takeover of ALAT’s social media pages – and followers will get an exclusive peek at all the behind-the-scenes activities that occur at the 02 backstage.

On Friday, December 3, 2021, ALAT announced it had signed Davido as its ambassador, kickstarting a symbiotic relationship that will see Adeleke embody the brand’s persona, while interacting with its rapidly expanding customer base.

The announcement came 16 days after the ‘If’ crooner raised ₦200 million during a viral virtual fundraising for his 29th birthday via social media. The singer had opened an ALAT by Wema account to track the inflow of money from his well-wishers and fans across the world.

Since its inception in 2017, ALAT by Wema has invested over ₦2 billion in youth-oriented business ideas such as ALAT Business, as well as initiatives and activities such as ALAT Talk Series, ALAT Food Challenge, and partnered with SociaLiga.
