    Accord Party Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

    The Accord Party has won the polling unit of former Osun Deputy Governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore, in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.

    Results uploaded on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal, IReV, showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1, Moore, St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area.

    The All Progressives Congress (APC) came second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes. Other political parties recorded marginal votes.

    The result represents an early boost for Accord as the collation of results continues across the state.

    Earlier, the party also won at the polling unit of former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, in Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government Area.

    Accord polled 125 votes at the unit, while APC recorded 85 votes and ADC secured five votes.

    The Independent National Electoral Commission is still uploading results to the IReV portal as the collation process continues across Osun State.
