President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration will ultimately defeat terrorists and bandits threatening peace and security across the country.

Tinubu gave the assurance in his Eid-el-Kabir message released on Tuesday, while acknowledging continued attacks by what he described as “heartless terrorists and bandits” on some communities.
According to the president, affected citizens are neither abandoned nor forgotten by the Federal Government.
“We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” Tinubu said.
He noted that recent security gains, including the elimination of a wanted ISIS leader, demonstrated the government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability nationwide.
The president also highlighted what he described as positive outcomes of ongoing economic reforms introduced by his administration, insisting that Nigeria had moved beyond a difficult economic phase.
“Just as sacrifice brings reward, I am happy that the sacrifices and efforts we have made over the past three years have yielded a more stable economy, making our country a preferred investment destination that will drive job creation and economic growth.
“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” he said.
Tinubu described Eid-el-Kabir as a festival that symbolises faith, sacrifice, obedience, unity and compassion, urging Nigerians to embrace the values for national development.
“As a nation, we are on a journey of reconstruction and renewal. The reforms we have undertaken are challenging but necessary to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for future generations,” he added.
The president expressed optimism that ongoing reforms and security operations would deliver improved safety, economic growth and greater opportunities for Nigerians.
