UK Councillor Faces Public Attention Over Adult Content Career

A newly elected councillor in the United Kingdom has come under public scrutiny after reports revealed he also works as an online adult content creator.

Mr Stephen Mousdell, recently elected to represent Haydock in St Helens under the Reform UK platform, was reported to have appeared in adult videos under an online alias.

Media reports indicated that Mousdell’s online profiles describe him as an adult performer and disc jockey.

Although some reports claimed that certain videos may have been recorded outdoors, there have been no allegations of criminal wrongdoing against the councillor.

Under UK law, public sexual activity could potentially attract legal scrutiny under public decency regulations.

Mousdell was elected after securing 1,331 votes in local elections in which Reform UK recorded significant gains, winning 34 out of 48 available seats in the area.

Reacting to the controversy, a spokesperson for Reform UK defended the councillor.

“While Cllr Mousdell’s lifestyle choices may not be to everyone’s taste, he has not broken the law.

“What consenting adults do in their private lives is their own business,” the spokesperson said.

The party added that voters were aware of his personal lifestyle before the election and still chose to elect him.

Reform UK further described Mousdell as “an asset to his local community,” noting that he had previously received the St Helens Mayor’s Good Citizen Award for service to the borough.

Reports said both St Helens Council and Mousdell had been approached for comments following the development.
