Delta State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old suspected female drug baron and two others during a covert operation in Warri metropolis.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrest on Friday, saying operatives of the Area Command, Effurun, carried out the operation on May 7, 2026, at about 9 p.m. in Ogbomoro and Ugolo communities.
Those arrested include the suspected drug baron, Favor Isaac, aged 25, alongside two female accomplices, Favour Felix, 24, and Samson Precious, 19.
Edafe said the operation led to a raid on the suspects’ hideout along River Road in Ogbomoro community, where officers recovered a large cache of suspected illicit drugs and substances.
Items recovered include 21 bottles of CSC Codeine, two canisters of Nitrous Oxide commonly known as “laughing gas,” two packs of suspected psychoactive chewing gum branded as “Highness Gum,” and 640 grams of suspected Canadian Loud concealed in different bags.
He said preliminary investigations revealed that one Rukewe Tega Isaac, currently at large, is allegedly the main supplier and coordinator of the drug network.
“Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect and other members of the syndicate,” Edafe said.
The police said investigations are continuing as the suspects remain in custody.
