    In a statement issued on Thursday, April 23, 2026, the telecom giant reaffirmed its commitment to customer satisfaction, aligning the move with the regulator’s consumer-centric guidelines and its own “customer-first” philosophy.

    The operator acknowledged that millions of Nigerians rely on reliable connectivity for daily digital needs, pledging intensified capital expenditure to upgrade next-generation infrastructure, bolster network resilience against environmental and third-party disruptions, and meet surging voice and data demands.

    MTN highlighted collaborations with tower companies to elevate mast standards, alongside partnerships with regulators, infrastructure providers, and law enforcement to safeguard critical systems.

    Despite external challenges beyond its control, the firm emphasised ongoing investments to power Nigeria’s digital economy and prevent future shortfalls.
