Detectives arrested 53-year-old Peace Ifeoma Emeka in Agege over alleged child trafficking, recovering a two-month-old baby she reportedly bought for N6 million.

The arrest stemmed from ongoing probes into an abduction and child stealing report. Emeka allegedly confessed to purchasing the infant from Joy Chiedozie, already arraigned at Idanyin Magistrate Court with her case awaiting DPP legal advice.

The rescued baby is now in protective custody as police deepen investigations to uncover transaction details and potential accomplices.
